Description:Work in the gardens is listed throughout the accounts for 1633. Payments appear frequently for work on the gates and the walls in the garden. The ‘poole’ is also referred to. Six shillings were paid to John Bradwall in 1633 ‘for 6 dayes worke at the Cowhouse & making a grate for ye poole’.
